In a plot with such an asymmetrical orientation, equitable access to light and sun becomes the main objective of the project. From then on, the main challenge is how to arrange 10 passing homes per floor with a depth of 15m, guaranteeing democratization of access to the sun and direct views to the outside on both facades, as well as optimal cross ventilation. The solution is to organize each 2 houses around an open communication core and a semi-exterior patio, which allows visual access from all the rooms to Turó del Mulei street.
Given the solar asymmetry, housing, consequently, is conceived as a sequence of rooms that find their main differentiation due to lighting and climatic conditions depending on their proximity to the SW facade or its opposite, the NE. This allows each home to be imagined according to 4 different strips, in which the most intimate and resting spaces would be located towards the NE façade and the most public and busiest ones would be located towards the SW façade.
Each house is configured as a fully accessible matrix of rooms of approximately 10m2. The fact that the kitchen is an access and that, together with the bathroom, it is placed in a central position allows the reversibility of domestic uses on one side and the other, expanding and diversifying them throughout its life.
